Polling Site Locator Tips
If you're having trouble locating you're address, check out these valuable hints!
The HOUSE NUMBER input field is for your house number and the STREET ADDRESS is for your street name. The CITY input field is optional. In general, you should at least enter your house number, street name and street type in the HOUSE NUMBER and STREET ADDRESS fields. The following are examples of valid search addresses:
E Orangeburg Ave
Modesto, CA 95350
Use abbreviations for street type.
- For example, enter
- N Elm St
- Instead of
- N Elm Street
- Valid Street type abbreviations are:
- AVE, BLVD, BND, CIR, CT, DR, HWY, LN, LOOP, MNR, PKWY, PL, RD, SQ, ST, TER & WAY
If you're having trouble locating your address, just enter your street name in Address Line #2.
- Instead of: N Elm Street
- Use: Elm St
- or even: Elm
Leave off apartment/building numbers when searching.
- For example, enter N Elm St
- Instead of N Elm St #4
- or N Elm St Apart 321
If you have a fractional house number, leave off the fraction.
- For example, enter 205
- Instead of 205 1/2
If you use Address Line #3, separate city and state with a comma and a space. Separate city and zip, (if you enter the zip), with a single space. Use a two character state abbreviation.
- For example, enter Turlock, CA
- Instead of Turlock CA
- or Turlock, Calif.
Leave periods out of your search string.
- For example, enter S 1ST AVE
- Instead of S. 1ST AVE
If you live on a state highway such as Highway 33 or Highway 120 enter your address in the following format:
|For example, enter||1234||(HOUSE NUMBER)|
|For example, enter||Hwy 120||(STREET ADDRESS)|
